Coalville's resurgence continues with another derby win

Coalville welcomed back Joe Rumming after a long lay off through injury all be it on the bench with Will Keeling making his first start since last year at full back.
Market Bosworth kicked off with a mild breeze at their backs, looking to better the draw between the teams earlier in the season. Within 2 mins they were awarded a penalty for Coalville going in at the side of a maul, duly accepted to lead 3-0. This they kept for twenty minutes as the hosts normally fluent play stopped and stuttered into many unforced errors as Bosworth cleared the danger with ease using the elements to good advantage. Coalville`s penalty count mounted though, but Bosworth missed 2 kickable one`s in quick succession to let the hosts off the hook.
In a rare forage into the visitors 22, the usually reliable clearance by the twelves was charged down by Michael Richmond who gleefully gathered up to score under the posts for the first try of the game. George Blackburn added the extra`s to make the score. 7-3.
The lead was shortlived as Bosworth scored a converted try 5 minutes later 7-10. Just before the break Coalville put a series of rolling mauls together and from one of these, Matt Twigg touched down to take the home side in at half time 12-10 to the good.
On came Rumming, Ben Argyle and Alex Collins, with the latter making an almost instant impact scoring off the back of a rolling maul after 46 mins, taking the score to 17-10.
Credit must go to Bosworth though as they didn't wilt under the constant pressure of the Memorial Ground sides total domination until the 77th minute when, from a scrum 25mtrs out, Blackburn and Joe Moretta combined well for Blackburn to touch down and then convert for a final score of 24-10 to the hosts.
Coalville are next in action away at Matlock on 4th March kick-off 3pm.
