Coalville leapfrog Bugbrooke to spit pressure on top 3

Coalville's fixture away at Bugbrooke at the weekend looked to be a tough one as the hosts had only lost one game at home this season.
Coalville had a breeze at their backs as Bugbrooke kicked off down the slope, the Memorial Ground side soon had the home side on the defensive as the strong running of man of the match Shane Upton-Burton enabled the visitors to create numerous chances with the Rotstein brothers going close to opening the scoring early on.The Bugbooke defense were being pushed to the limit as Coalville upped the anti with four scrums in succession on the five metre line, the penalty count was rising as the Bugbrooke pack were penalised for wheeling the scrum but no tries for the visitors as the Badgers cleared their lines with a kick to touch after somehow claiming the ball. With the clock on twenty-five minutes Coalville put points on the board when George Blackburn slotted over a penalty as the Badgers were caught offside in front of the posts.
From the restart Jack Follows collected the ball and stormed off on a fourty metre run crashing through tackle after tackle before offloading to Upton-Burton who inturn fed Joe Moretta wide on the wing but with no where to go popped a great pass to Henry Rotstein on his inside, the prop forced his way over for his sixth try in his sixth game,Blackurn added the difficult conversion for 10-0.Bugbrooks only incursion into Coalville's twenty- two resulted in an unconverted try on the half hour.Coalville virtually spent the final ten minutes of the half encamped on the Badgers try line but couldn't find that final cutting edge.Coalville carried on where they left off as the second half progressed with the forwards, led by Sam Masserella laid seige on the home sides line with both Jake Moretta & Will Clare being held up short of the whitewash,a minute later Eddie Rotsteins try was ruled out for a knock on.A high tackle on Jordan Gadsby gave Blackburn the penalty chance and from an acute angle landed it well for a 13-5 scoreline on 55minutes.An injury to Stewart Tang brought on Ollie James at this point.More changes for the visitors as Joel Pennington and Chris Flanagan came on for Josh Breen and Henry Rotstein and no let up from Coalville though as Matt Chamberlain won a Badgers line out to set up a driving maul thirty metres out,the home sides answer was to pull the maul down, from the penalty the home side expecting a kick at the posts were decieved by a quick tap penalty from play maker Will Keeling put Liam Nelson away who drew the last man for Blackburn to score in the corner for 18-5 on 65mins.The remaining 15 mins saw Bugbrooke come more into the game with a couple of wind assisted kicks into the visitors 22 setting up a few phases of pressure but didn't capitalise on the possession as Coalville saw out the match for a well deserved victory. After the game a spokesman for Coalville said `we were expecting a hard game today and we certainly got one,but we controlled the game for most of the 80minutes to come away with the victory".
Coalville's next game is on Feb 3rd at home to Vipers ko 2.15pm.
