Coalville can’t comeback from a gift wrapped 14 points

Unforced errors cost Coalville an expected win on their travels at the weekend. Two intercepted passes just before the interval gave the hosts a 21-10 lead with the prospect of the advantage of the slope and a strong breeze at their backs to come in the second period. All started well for the Memorial ground side as Jordan Gadsby went over in the first minute of play,George Blackburn though had an off day with the boot missing all but one of his kicks. In the twentieth minute the home side grabbed the lead rather fortunately as the the ball was knocked on in the build up before the try was scored.A flowing move by the Coalville backs after great work by the forwards put Josh Breen over in the corner to restore the visitors lead.Coalville's progress was halted time after time though giving away to many penalties when a score looked imminant this led to too many forced passes being tried and hence the two intercepted ones giving the hosts a flatering lead at half time of 21-10.
The hosts were awarded a penalty soon after the restart for which they slotted over to put them two scores to the good.Daniel Claypole got his name on the score sheet as he powered his way through the Buckby defence to reduce the arrears.Coalville attacked the Buckby half for the next fifteen minutes as Liam Nelson scored the "try" of the match only for it to be wiped off as the official was too far behind the play to see the grounding of the ball. The constant pressure finally paid off as Jack Follows got the bonus point try for Coalville bringing them to within two points of the hosts.Buckby with their backs to the wall somehow managed to clear their lines with a wind assisted kick deep into Coalville's twenty-two,the lineout throw was good but adjudged to be not straight, the resulting scrums pushed the visitors back to their own line until finally a try was awarded the conversion was good to leave the final score 31-22 to Long Buckby.
Coalville's next fixture is at home on March 9th kick-off 3o'clock where local rivals Market Bosworth.
