First Match - First Victory!!!

Coalville RFC 11 - 2 Leicester Lions / Old Newtonians

Coalville under 11's following a great pre-season build up to today's first game, hosted Leicester Lions and Old Newtonians. With tries being scored, tackles made, and an excellent atmosphere.

The whole team nominated themselves to be a contender for Coaches' Player Of The Week. Harry with his commitment to tackling took it this week. The coaches had a difficult time narrowing it down to just one player. Pippa was voted as Supporters' Player Of The Week for her phenomenal performance. Each and every of the superstars who played today played extremely well! Special mentions to all of our new recruits who gained valuable match experience. Of which one even said after they had finished playing "That wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be!"

Leicester Lions and Old Newtionians were impressed by the under 11's team and supporters for the wonderful rugby on the pitch and the friendly pitch side. Coalville scored through different players and tactics throughout the whole match to a well earned victory.

This match showed the standard of what is to come this season from the team. It would seem it is going to go up and better!
