Coalville progress to the 3rd round of the Intermediate Cup

A crowd of around 150 saw Coalville progress to the 3rd of the intermediate cup with victory over their west midlands opponents Veseyans scoring 5 tries to the visitors 3.Coalville led 20 points to nil at the interval with tries from Will Keeling,Myles Griffin and George Blackburn after a well structured performance set out by coach Ben Toft.From the kick-off Coalville were penalized for holding on but the penalty was missed this was the let off that the home side never looked back from until after the break.Blackburn added his second try 10 minutes into the second half then changes were made for Coalville which took time to put into action as Veseyans latched on to this crossing the whitewash 3 times in 15 minutes,normal service was resumed as Chris Flanaghan finished off the proceedings with a fine try near the end.Captain Will Keeling said after the victory that we played well first half scored some good tries and stuck to the play patterns but took our foot off the gas when we thought the game was won,came home with a good win but building for the game against Loughborough next week
