Coalville over came league leaders Loughborough in a closely fought contest also incorporating the Leicestershire County Cup as a double header at the weekend.Ben Toft Coalville's head coach commented after the game "poor discipline kept the score close but a good win in the end is what we deserved".Coalville opened the scoring with their first forage into the visitors twenty-two after a quarter of an hour Jake Moretta with the try, Loughborough replied with a penalty.Tries from Joe Rumming and Danny Freer kept the hosts in front and one from the leaders gave Coalville a seven point advantage at the break.Coalville extended their lead to twenty-one points after an hour with touch downs from Liam Nelson and Michael Richmond the latter being a solo effort from a poor clearance kick by Loughborough.As before the hosts then gave away a series of penalties allowing Loughborough a couple of tries to get within nine points at the close.A crowd of around 175 attended todays game.Coalville are away at local rivals Market Bosworth this Saturday kick-off 3pm
