Performance reflected result

Injury hit Coalville succumbed to a second half onslaught conceding five converted tries to Notts Casuals at the weekend.The Memorial Ground side lost six players due to injury or illness and were under the cosh from the start as the home side went ahead through a penalty as early as the 5th minute more was to follow for Coalville as Stewart Tang was helped off the pitch not to return his replacement first team manager Joel Wallace not fully fit himself slotted in at number 8.The visitors drew level with a Billy Savory penalty then took the lead with a training ground try from Liam Nelson converted by Savory.Notts levelled matters with a converted try on 25 mins.Further inroads into the hosts territory had Mark Davis touching down for a typical forwards try but the score was disallowed by the official saying the ball was held up.The half ended with with no further scores.The next 40 minutes saw Notts completely dominate the proceedings as injuries to Myles Griffin and Joel Pennington reduced the visitors still further in numbers.Coalville battled on to the final whistle though making it difficult for the hosts.
With the Firsts taking players to Notts Casuals the Seconds started their league fixture against Old Newtonians with only thirteen players finally losing by 39-5 Ryan Driver the Coalville try scorer.
Coalville host Southwell on 17th Dec k.o 2.15pm all welcome.
