Coalville put on a huge 2nd half performance to record 50 point win

Coalville produced a tremendous second half performance to overcome a spirited West Bridgford side who led at the break 21-17.
The Memorial Ground side went behind as early as the 8th minute to converted try as the visitors looked to reverse their defeat at home back in October. Jordan Gadsby started the fight back with a strong run down the wing with M.Richmond,E.Rotsein and M.Davies in support the latter with the touch down, G.Blackburn added the extra 2 points for 7-7 after 17 mins. Richmond then finished off a sweeping move from a scrum on half way once again Blackburn added the conversion,14-7.
Bridgford levelled matters up on the half hour with a carbon copy of their first try 14-14. Blackburn put the hosts ahead with a penalty on 38 mins only for Bridgeford to snatch back the lead on the stroke of half time with another converted try 17-21.
The turn around for Coalville was nothing short of tremendous as the forwards tore into the visitors from the off creating plenty of good ball for the backs to infiltrate the visitors defence but it was Coalville`s No 8 J.Wallace who added the final touchdown with H.Rotstein making the initial break. Blackburn missed the conversion but made amends 5 mins later with a well struck penalty. A blind side move on half way saw M.Twigg scythe through the Bridgeford rearguard to cross the whitewash,Blackburn again added the extra`s to make it 32-21 .On the hour mark Joe Moretta ran the perfect line to dot down under the posts for the easy Blackburn conversion,39-21. A break from Sam Gadsby put Twigg away who fed C.Wykes to score out wide, 44-21. Blackburn then waltzed through to touch down and add the conversion for a final score of 51-21. credit goes to the players for an all round second half performance.Jake Moretta,W.Clare,B.Savory,B.Argyle,D.Freer, skipper W.Quail and debutante Liam Barnes all played their part.
