A bonus point win puts Coalville in pole position for the play offs

Coalville over came Notts Casuals by seven tries to two last Saturday to move into second place in Midlands 2 East(North), as next weeks opponents Southwell were well beaten at Ashbourne.
Coalville were soon on the scoreboard when George Blackburn slotted over a penalty after 3 minutes. The visitors were finding Coalville`s forwards too hot to handle as they made inroads into Casuals half almost at will but some poor handling by the hosts at the final pass let the visitors off the hook.
On twenty minutes though, Joe Moretta cut a good line to score after great work from brother Jake. Casuals couldn`t get out of their own half as Coalville piled on the pressure but as Joe Rumming's, was about to score he dropped the ball which was quickly picked up by Casuals back line and two passes and a sprint down the touchline later saw them open their account. Coalville`s 2nd try came by way of a massive scrum some 15 mtrs out. Casuals couldn`t hold on and Jamie Parker crashed over with Blackburn adding the extra 2 points. On the stroke of half time another set scrum 5mtrs out where Parker picked up from the base to set up Jordan Gadsby for the Memorial grounds side 3rd try, Blackburn again was successful with the conversion with the teams going into half time at 22-5.
The second period opened with a poor kick-off by Casuals resulting in a scrum on halfway to Coalville. From this, the initial break by Myles Griffin took him well into Casuals half where the rest was finished by Blackburn who saw off 5 or 6 tackles to gain the bonus point try and the conversion.
On a rare trip into Coalville`s 22, a catch and drive brought the away side a try to make it 29-10.
On the hour Wallace cruised through a gap to touch down, with Coalville now threatening a cricket score. It was all Coalville now with Matt Chamberlain, Liam Nelson and Shane Upton-Burton combining well to put Joe Rumming in.The final try for Coalville came from Captain Will Quail who majestically worked his way over the line from all of a metre out to end the scoring at 46-10.
