The first XV travel to Oundle for a place in Midlands 1 after demolition of Spalding

Coalville secured their place in the play offs with a comprehensive 86-5 victory over bottom of the league Spalding. They will now meet Oundle on the 29th April away from home, vying for promotion too midlands 1.
A try-hungry Memorial Ground side blew their visitors away with a 14 tryto 1 score. Spalding had no answer to Coalville`s forwards whose first two scrums were smashed back enabling first Liam Barnes and then Chris Flanaghan to crash over for the tries with only 9 mins gone,George Blackburn added the extras to rack up an early 14-0 lead. A quick break from Jordan Gadsby then set up Nathan Harrison to grab his first try for the club, eventually ending up with three in the game.
The visitors were finding it difficult to get out of their own half and the prolonged pressure told when Ben Argyle threw an outrageous dummy to stroll in untouched to dot down under the posts, with Blackburn again converting to make it 26-0.The last ten mins of the half saw the hosts cross the whitewash a further five times. The first beneficiary was Alex Collins, profiting from an offload by Jamie Parker. Sam Gadsby joined in with his fellow front rowers by crossing, making the most of brother Jordans hard work and offload. Michael Richmonds clever line opened a gaping hole in the already stretched Spalding defence to touch down. From the restart Matt Chamberlain found Joe Moretta just inside his own half, who tjenset off on a marauding run through the Spalding defence, beating three men to score under the posts.
On the stroke of half time, Harrison got his second try from Blackburns pass to leave the home side 57 points to nil up, at half time. Coalville were dealt a big blow, in the first 40 with Captain Will Quail taking no further part in due to a head injury, scuppering preparations for next week.
Coalville's dominance allowed coach Ben Toft to give some replacement extra game time, with the home side welcoming Henry Rotstein, Shane Upton-Burton and Danny Freer. The second half started as the first ended, as Jordan Gadsby broke from a scrum some 15 metres out to touch down.
Spalding did get on the score board though with a well worked try on 54mins to act as some form of consolation. However, normal service was resumed as Joe Rumming restored the balance with a try two mins later after clevel work down the blind side. Coalville`s 12th try came from a line out on 70 mins, with Freer taking full advantage of a non existent defence to score. Liam Nelson added the try of the day after a sumptuous
backs move saw the ball travel through 6 pairs of hands with Nelson racing in from half way. The hosts final try came courtesy of Harrison's hat trick with 2 mins left.
