After a slow start, 4 second half tries means the first XV return home with an invaluable 5 point win

Coalville travelled to Southwell at the weekend notching up six tries for the second consecutive game, ensuring victory with a splendid second half performance.
The home side started as the stronger side, playing a fast paced game resulting in them taking the lead in the 10th minute with a deserved converted try, showing off some fine handling skills. However, the visitors leveled matters in the 22nd minutes through Jake Moretta`s 2nd try of the season, with Will Keeling adding the conversion. With momentum continuously changing hands, Southwell restored the lead with another converted try as Coalville`s defence went walkabout, with the home side stamping their authority on the game by adding another score almost immediately. With the game at 21-7, Coalville were put under further pressure as Coalville were down a man due to a yellow card, Matthew Twigg the unfortunate recipient. Coalville's misfortune continued, as they lost Chris Flanaghan and Will Clare with head injuries just before half time, with the Rotstein brothers, Eddie and Henry, the replacements. Joel Wallace reduced the arrears on the stroke of half time to make it 21-12, making the scoreline look a little more even than Coalville's performance deserved

The second half started well for the Memorial Ground side as Shane Upton-Burton crossed the whitewash after great work from Danny Freer, with a step and dummy creating the space for an easy off load for the supporting winger. Coalville's injury woes deepened, with Billy Measures having shoulder issues, allowing Matt Fisher to make his debut for Coalville. The debutant made an immediate impact, as within 10 minutes he had scored two tries, now giving the visitors a 10 point advantage with 15minutes remaining. The bonus point win was sealed, as Joe Moretta set up Liam Nelson for the final score, ending in a 21-36 win.

Coalville skipper Will Quail said after the game "a great second half performance showed what we are capable of but once again made too many errors".

Coalville are next in action on 30th September, at home to Ashbourne ko 3pm.
