Coalville left it too late to gain anything from this game as Dronfield inflicted their first defeat of the season on the Memorial ground side. The home sides only score of the first period was a penalty from Will Keeling as a lack lustre performance cost them dear. Coach Ben Toft had the task of turning the game round when it looked like a bridge too far but it might be possible as Dronfields Sam Lowery was shown a red card just before the break. On 52minutes Joe Moretta ran the perfect line to dot down for the hosts with Keeling adding the extra`s. Seven minutes later The second Moretta forced his way over the line for his 5th try of the season. Jordan Gadsby`s try on 67minutes brought a certain air of can we do it from the 120 home crowd but try as they must they could not find any further scores. Dronfield fully deserved their victory on the day as they were the better side all round.
A spokesman for Coalville said "we lost our focus in the first period and left it too late to turn the game round".
Coalville next in action on 11th Nov away at Ilkeston ko 2.15.
