Towcestrians v Coalville

Coalville were on the backfoot from the kick-off as Towcester piled forward with captain Liam Wilkinson crashing over in the forth minute quickly followed by two more converted tries by Dave Williams and Wilkinson,Matt Yuill added the extras to go 19pts up after only 18mins.From a scrum on half way Coalville finally got going as Matt Twigg raced away to touch down in the corner,more urgency was called for by skipper Richmond and Coalville moved up a gear to put the home side under the cosh but their defence held up all that Coalville could muster to leave the half time score 19-5.The second half started with Coalville playing down the slope and the wind behind them hoping to gain momentum and get back into the game but the home side had other ideas as Dan Taylor robbed the ball and scored in the corner much to the delight of the home support.Williams added another try on 46mins converted by Yuill but straight from the restart Billy Measures gathered the loose ball to power his way through to claim his 5th try of the season,Dave Mayne kicked the conversion.Play went from end to end without any addition to the score board until a bizarre decision by the official gave Towcester a penalty as Twigg caught a 22 drop out from Mayne only to be brought back for the offence much to the dismay from the travelling supporters,Yuill duely added the gift to the total and extend the lead to 34-12.With 15mins to go Sam Mason gave Coalville some hope with a try made by Adam Whites mazy run and pass,Mayne added the conversion.Try as they might Coalville couldnt breach the Tows line again and to rub salt into the wounds a break away try from the Tows Dave Favelley and another penalty from Yuill sealed Coalvilles fate.
