Home team respond to first defeat of the season with dominant 7 try performance

Lincoln were the visitors to the Memorial ground last week with the task of ending Coalville's unbeaten home record. The pitch looked fairly good after the rain of late.
The home side started at an electrifying pace showing no mercy for the lowly placed visitors, opening the scoring after five minutes with Stewart Tang finishing off the move with Will Keeling adding the extra's with the conversion.Coalville then lost number 8 Joe Rumming through injury.Lincoln defended well after going behind and held up two possible scores before Coalville finally crossed the whitewash as Jack Follows smashed his way over after great work by Jamie Grant,Keeling again was succesfull with the conversion.Just before the break Zak Fellows out paced the Lincoln defence to score in the corner to go in 19 nil to the good.Into the second half and Daniel Claypole on for Rumming powered his way over from some 15mtrs out,Keeling again with the conversion.Coalville' forwards led by Captain Sam Massarella gave the Lincoln pack plenty to think about winning the majority of the scrums setting the platform for some entertaining plays, quick ball from Billy Savory set up many training ground moves,Michael Richmond at full back joining the line on numerous occassions creating an overlap with speedsters Jack Wickwar and Isaac Grewcock tormenting the Lincoln defence.A pick and drive by Jake Moretta,Matt Chamberlain Chris Flanagan and Tang had the latter touching down for his second and the hosts fifth try of the day,Keeling added the extra's.Tang completed his hat trick on 70 minutes with Keelings last part in the game converting the try.Tom Ritchie and Liam Nelson came on for the final ten minutes as Lincoln grabbed a consolation try from Ben Sykes after a lapse in the hosts ranks. The final say went to Gaz Turner whose quick tap penalty caught out Lincoln as he nipped in with Coalville' seventh try, this time converted by Savory. The victory put Coalville into top spot in Midlands 2 East(North).A spokesman for Coalville said afterwards "a well deserved win in front of a large crowd after last weeks loss was most welcome".
